SAN Pastry's Latest Creation: Ravioli-Inspired Dessert


Food has always brought people together, and the SAN Pastry team has taken that concept to a whole new level. Inspired by the classic Italian dish ravioli, we've created a dessert that blends flavors from our cultures, resulting in an exceptional and delicious treat.




Our pastry features flaky dough surrounding two fillings. The first filling is a limoncello cannoli, a traditional Italian dessert made with ricotta cheese, sugar, and candied lemon peel. As for the second filling, it is a classic cheese ravioli filling that has been spiced up with Nigerian spices.

To enhance the flavor even further, we've paired our pastry with two sauces. An infusion of limoncello compliments the flavors of ricotta and lemon in the first filling of the cannoli. The second sauce is a raspberry basil sauce, which brings a fruity and herbaceous note to the dish.

To round out the flavor profile, we've added a garlic mayonnaise dill dip, which pairs perfectly with the savory cheese ravioli filling.

The inspiration for this dessert was to merge our cultures' flavors. As a team, we come from diverse backgrounds, and we wanted to celebrate that by creating something that represented our unique perspectives. By combining Italian, and Nigerian flavors, we've created a dessert that truly represents our team and our values.
