Digital Business Student Association's - Build Your Future Event

On April 6, 2023, the Digital Business Student Association (DBSA) at Humber College (Lakeshore) hosted a social get-together that was a treat for everyone who attended.

The event, held in collaboration with BAKE253 from the North Campus, was a chance for students and faculty to come together and indulge in delicious baked goods made by ten different teams.

The teams at the event brought in a variety of baked goods ranging from cupcakes to cookies. However, the standout team of the night was Tasty Bitez. Within the first 30 minutes of the event, their pastry boxes filled with four ravioli-shaped desserts were completely sold out. A whopping eight boxes were completed within the first 30 minutes with visitors asking for more.

The overwhelming reaction to Tasty Bitez's baked goods was not surprising given their creative take on traditional Italian ravioli. Their dessert featured flaky pastry dough with two different fillings, and it was paired with two different sauces to create a perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavor.

While Tasty Bitez was a clear winner on the night, the event overall was a huge success. It was a chance for students and faculty to interact outside of the classroom. They could share their passion for baking and indulge in delicious treats. The DBSA and BAKE253 collaboration provided a platform for students to showcase their baking skills and creativity.

The success of this event is a testament to the value of extracurricular activities in creating a sense of community within the student body. The DBSA's social event brought students and faculty together to share their passion for baking, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

We can't wait to see what the DBSA has in store for their next event. We are excited to see what delicious treats will be on the menu!
